The Midland and Odessa Soccer Associations would like to introduce:

The Sockers Academy
The two associations, in conjunction with the West Texas United Sockers will be offering the first professional youth academy in West Texas.

The partnership will aid in the development of our U9/U10 rec. players considering club soccer.

Additionally, the partnership will allow the associations to be actively involved in the implementation of the programs.

Academy participation will receive the highest quality instruction from the most qualified staff in the Permian Basin.

The Sockers Academy will be offered in the Fall and Spring of each season and is designed to supplement recreational soccer.

All Sockers Academy participants are required to be registered recreational players in their respective associations.

The Sockers Academy is open to all U9 and U10 boys and girls that are interested in pursuing high quality, affordable competitive soccer.
What is an Academy Program?
The Sockers Academy is a program designed to prepare players and parents for the transition from recreational  soccer to competitive soccer.

The goal of the Sockers Academy is to provide the player with advanced technical training and introduce tactics that are utilized in the competitive soccer environment.

Academy participants will receive the highest quality training from our staff and from PDL players from the WEST TEXAS UNITED SOCKERS!

In addition, the Academy will provide players and parents with individualized player evaluations each month.

This is not a skills session, it is much, much more.

Academy players will participate in advanced training, and have the opportunity to play against academy teams in tournaments and within the Sockers youth club system.
